The challenge
Workspaces often put projects, messages and reports on the same screen. This concept asks what a project workspace would look like if it prioritised the work a person needs to move forward today.
The direction
A clear project overview, a focused task view and a small set of contextual actions. Details stay close to the work instead of appearing in separate, competing panels.
The process
The starting point was an information map of a typical small-team project. I separated information needed to make a decision from information that could wait, then explored layouts using a compact set of reusable components.
Design decisions
Consistent spacing and a restrained type hierarchy make the interface easier to scan. Progress is shown next to the relevant task. Destructive actions are separated from everyday controls.
What comes next
This concept would need testing with real teams, keyboard users and projects of different sizes. It demonstrates a design direction, without claiming that it has been shipped or achieved business results.
