FocusFocus and daily planning
StatusConcept / 2026
The challenge
A full task list can make a day feel busy before it has even started. This concept explores how a planning app could help someone choose a small number of meaningful priorities without adding more noise.
The direction
One screen for today, a small set of priorities and a quiet focus timer. Completed work moves into a simple daily reflection rather than another dashboard.
The process
I started by mapping the moments when a person checks their plan: the beginning of the day, a transition between tasks and the evening. Paper sketches helped reduce the interface to the decisions needed at each moment.
Design decisions
A single primary action makes the next step clear. A warm yellow accent marks the current focus, while neutral surfaces keep the task itself in view. Optional reminders give people control over interruptions.
What comes next
The next step would be to test the daily planning flow with people who use different approaches to organising their work. This is a concept, not a launched product or a claim of measured results.
